Frank Genello

Frank Genello learned his masonry skills from his father, who taught him to value hard work and a compulsive attention to detail. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and soon after earned degrees in Public Administration from Marywood College and Historic Preservation from Boston University. Upon graduating from BU, Frank took a position as a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Restoration Workshop. Here, Frank developed the advanced restoration skills he employs to this day.

In 1983, Frank established American Building Restoration Company (ABRC) as a response to the need for high quality building and restoration craftsmanship. ABRC has contracted for both residential and commercial projects, ranging from custom new construction to the restoration of National Register Properties.

Frank has held faculty positions at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, Mass, and the American College of the Building Arts (ACBA) in Charleston, SC as a professor and founding faculty member. Frank holds a Masters degrees in both Public Administration from Marywood College and Historic Preservation from Boston University.
